A Taste of Hong Kong

Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe is located on the ground floor of MOA's northern building, beside IMAX cinema. The resto was spacious, every wall interior tells a different story with good lights and colorful wall background.

Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe offers spacious set up which can cater a lot of customers. It reminds me my stay 7 days stay in Hong KONG while going in and out the resto.

We chose to sit on a round couch.
As soon as i check their menu i was amazed because there are lots of food options from their appetizer, main menu up to their dessert and suprisingly their prices are very affordable.

Since he love chicken that much my nephew Vin2x ordered Hong Kong style Friend Chicken(235PHP) its crispy,  kinda sour and salty but it taste good.

My Nanay tried their plate of western noodles topped with luncheon meat and egg(175PHP). The noodles is good and i love it.

For me, I ordered Hong Kong-Style Steamed Chorizo with mushroom and veggies(195PHP). The chorizo is juicy and flavorful while the veggies and mushroom are fresh and moist. It is place in an interesting container - - the bamboo. The rice was piping hot and the sauce was just right.

For our drinks we tried their big glass of Lychee Juice and Lemon Juice. Both drinks are so refreshing.....

We ended up with full big tummies..Thanks for the food and good service of their friendly staff and crew. I definitely go back in this place and try something else.
I would  recommend this to my friends to try the western touch because it's so unique.

"Exploring Chimichurri"

Cocina Juan After viewing other food bloggers page i came up with the idea of exploring this budget restaurants located along Maginhawa St., Teachers Village, Q.C area.As you enter the village you will noticed the number of resto, mini bars and cafe (as in magkakatabi-tabi). Since i already have the idea of what to eat since i already scanned the list of these restaurants including their menu. We stopped at "cocina juan" The place is quite old. The ambiance is simple- white colored tiles with metal legs and painted black metal chairs with cushions. The walls was cemented and painted into orange with paintings hanging on them. The waiter told me that Pasta Chimichurri is one of their best selling menu. That's why I ordered Pasta Chimichurri (P159) and Sofrito Cream Dory Mary Rose (P199).The pasta chimichurri was good and i think it is good for two servings. It's a petuccini pasta tap with white sauce with bits of corn and parmesan cheese. The Cream Dory Fish cooked and tenderized in aluminum foil, served with a popular Latin American sauce called Sofrito ("Well Cooked and Fragrant Sauce", Spanish Original)The Sofrito sauce was a bit oily and buttery, which overpowered the tomatoes and herbs. The dory came out tender but bland, so the nice topping of melted cheese gave it a more creamy flavor. What I loved at this place is they served Tacos for FREE! yes its free :) Cocina Juan served Central American dishes. This is a nice place to treat friends for a birthday or a special occasion -- good food, unique yet casual ambiance. Cocina Juan is located at 100 Maginhawa St. Teachers Village East, Quezon City Contact #: 434-3911

Next destination....Cafe' Quezon

Let's check the review :) CAFE QUEZON Location: 179 maginhawa st., sikatuna vill.quezon city Contact:(02) 928-8534 Though located in the city, QC's Cafe Quezon is actually named after the province. Its owner not only hails from Quezon but also makes frequent trips back to replenish ingredients for the restaurant's supply of provincial treats. And what treats they are! The Longganisa Lucban (P85) is crisp outside and chewy inside. You can also have it in pasta (P95) or on pizza (P135). Their Pancit Habhab (P75) is authentically salty and is best eaten with a dash of Suka sa Sasa, which dilutes the saltiness and gives the dish a sour edge. Try the Doña Aurora, a family recipe of stuffed egg meatballs, a kind of embutido lite. It's got a sweet-savory taste, the neutrality of the egg white giving the meat mixture a surprising depth. Their Pandan Iced Tea (40/85) is quite refreshing. The sweet, home brewed drink comes in a carafe and contains sweet pandan jelly as a treat. For dessert, go for the Dinuldol (P50), two large pieces of fried mashed banana served with a sprinkling of icing sugar. It's a heartwarming dessert that is perfect for those lazy rainy afternoons. The Caramel Pilipit (P70) is also worth trying. A cross between a churro, a donut, bicho-bicho and puto, this incredibly sweet and chewy dessert is sure to bring out the child in you. The cafe also has more conventional fare, with a menu that makes each trip one that's ripe for new discoveries.

Enchanted Farm Café: A New Satisfaction

Trying a new restaurant is always good. Much more if the food is interesting and affordable enough. If the location is not that far and commutable well that's a plus factor. When i saw the Enchanted Farm Cafe page in fb i hurriedly check their location i was surprised because it is located in a nearby area. The café is located at Unit 2-A, #463 Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City. To give it a try i went there one Tuesday night. The space has this zen yet welcoming vibe with its wooden furniture, abaca designed walls and coffee bean centerpiece. I just ordered their "enchanted burger" for only 100.00 with a side of sweet potato fries with dip(the dip is like thousand island)and salad veggies. The serving size was pretty descent for the price. :) I washed all that down with the Enchantea, which was delightful. It cost P35.00 It was sweet with just the right punch of citrus sour. I loved that the drinks came in what appear to be mayonnaise bottles. Because i didn't get to try much, I decided to go back some other time to taste their chicken pesto, the clean ice cream yes "clean ice cream" with chocolate and chili flavors and the dark chocolates with kalamansi and siling labuyo.. Based on my source the "Items in the menu come from two major sources - the Enchanted Farm in Angat Bulacan, which provides most of the fresh produce and special burger patties in the menu; and existing social enterprises such as Gourmet Keso, Golden Egg, Hamlet and Happy Green, who provide us with both kitchen use items and off the rack items. All items are locally produced and packaged, naturally grown and delicious." Overall, I recommend Enchanted Farm Café for a Saturday afternoon hanging out with friends – you get affordable, satisfying meals, and get to support GK communities and local enterprises, too. Hope to see you there guys...

Oh my Bangus @ Pan de Amerikana

Driving down Katipunan Avenue, in the St. Igantius area, one would be hard pressed not to notice an upside down house on one side of the road. Aside from being unapologetically topsy-turvy, this establishment also stands out because of all the commotion it always seems to cause. Pan de Amerikana is a bread shop, but also doubles as a casual restaurant that serves short orders on the fly. Their breakfast menu offers classic Filipino garlic rice and egg combinations like tapsilog, tocilog, corned beef, boneless bangus, etc. My all time favorite is the boneless fried bangus with achara or tomato/pipino as side dish. They also serve ice tea and fruit shakes. Their "green mango" and "melon shakes" are some of their must try refreshments. Aside from the straightforward goodness of the food, this restaurant also attracts a lot of people because of its prices. All of the items on the breakfast menu are priced at a super affordable P55, while the rest of the menu follows suit with similar price points. You won’t be sorry with any of the breakfast menu entries, but you can also go for any of the regular dishes as the kitchen goes into full swing as early as 6am. This resto is open for breakfast and lunch only. I went there last time to have my dinner but in my surprised the store is closed. Pan De Amerikana has two stores.Hopefully i have the time to visit their other store which is located somewhere in Conception Marikina..
