Driving down Katipunan Avenue, in the St. Igantius area, one would be hard pressed not to notice an upside down house on one side of the road. Aside from being unapologetically topsy-turvy, this establishment also stands out because of all the commotion it always seems to cause. Pan de Amerikana is a bread shop, but also doubles as a casual restaurant that serves short orders on the fly. Their breakfast menu offers classic Filipino garlic rice and egg combinations like tapsilog, tocilog, corned beef, boneless bangus, etc.

My all time favorite is the
boneless fried bangus with achara or tomato/pipino as side dish. They also serve ice tea and fruit shakes. Their "
green mango" and "
melon shakes" are some of their must try refreshments.
Aside from the straightforward goodness of the food, this restaurant also attracts a lot of people because of its prices. All of the items on the breakfast menu are priced at a super affordable
P55, while the rest of the menu follows suit with similar price points. You won’t be sorry with any of the breakfast menu entries, but you can also go for any of the regular dishes as the kitchen goes into full swing as early as 6am.
This resto is open for breakfast and lunch only. I went there last time to have my dinner but in my surprised the store is closed.
Pan De Amerikana has two stores.Hopefully i have the time to visit their other store which is located somewhere in Conception Marikina..
